Adding Search Fields With the .NET Interface Editor
To add a search field with the .NET Interface Editor

Access the Coveo .NET Front-End Interface Editor (see Opening the .NET Interface Editor).

Select the Search Interfaces tab.

In the Current Interface drop-down list, select the interface for which you want to add a search field.

Select the Fields menu.

In the navigation panel on the left, select Search Fields.

Next to Fields to Use to Perform Advanced Search, click Add New.

Under Edit Search Field:

In the Title box:

Enter the English text that appears as the label for this custom search field in the Document Properties section of the Advanced Search page.

Click the
button next to the box to open a dialog box where you can enter the label translated for the other supported languages.

In the Field to Search On drop-down list, select the field that you want to add.
Note: When the desired field does not appear, you must configure it to be searchable (see Adding a Field to Search On).

Click OK.

Under Fields to Use to Perform Advanced Search, you can modify the display order of the fields by clicking the Up and Down links. You can also remove fields by selecting them and clicking Delete.
