Exporting and Importing a Document Type Set

Once you modified an existing document type set or created a new one in a given Coveo instance, you can use the document type set export/import feature to easily duplicate the document type set in another Coveo instance.

Example: You customize a document type set in your staging Coveo instance, export the document type set to an XML file, and then import the XML file content in your production environment.

To duplicate a document type set in another Coveo instance

    1. Access the Administration Tool (see Opening the Administration Tool).

    2. In the Administration Tool, select Configuration > Document Types.

    3. In the Document Type Sets list, select the check box of the document type set that you wish to export.

    4. Click Export.

    5. Save the DocumentTypesSetsExport.xml file to a folder of your choice.

    6. Using a text editor, open the XML file, and copy the content of the file.
