Coveo Enterprise Search 7 Has Reached End of Life

As of December 31, 2021, Coveo Enterprise Search (CES) version 7 will reach end of life and will no longer be supported by Coveo. We will continue to offer technical support to all active CES customers up until December 31, 2021. [more]

SharePoint Connector and Okta Single Sign-On

The SharePoint connector now supports instances using Okta as a single sign-on provider. You can therefore configure your SharePoint source and security providers to authenticate users via your Okta application. [more]

September 2017

Jira and Lithium Incremental Refresh

The Jira and Lithium connectors now support incremental refresh. The connectors therefore periodically query Jira and Lithium for the latest item modifications (addition, edition, deletion), keeping the index content up-to-date. [more]

Diagnostic Tool Dumps Tab

The CES 7 Diagnostic Tool now has a Dumps tab, which provides data helping Coveo to support users with an on-premises setup.

This feature allows users to see CES 7 dumps generated on their servers , as well as to manually generate dumps on a server. Dumps can be sent to Coveo from this tab, as they can be useful when detailed information is required for troubleshooting. Users can also choose to automatically open a support case when a dump is generated. [more]

June 2017

Dropbox New API

As of June 28, Dropbox will deprecate the first version of its API to focus on version 2. This will impact our connector, which uses this API to crawl Dropbox content. You must therefore download the June 2017 CES 7 update, and then update your field set so that your Dropbox source keeps updating smoothly. [more]

Diagnostic Tool Update Notifications

A desktop notification is now prompted whenever a new version of the Diagnostic Tool is available for download. If the user accepts, the latest version is automatically downloaded and installed on the server.

This feature allows clients to benefit from the latest troubleshooting tools without having to actively upgrade the Diagnostic Tool manually every time a new version is released.

Jive 9 Support

The Jive on-premises connector can now index content from Jive 9. Jive 8 and Jive Cloud are still supported. [more]

Use the Diagnostic Tool for a Better Support Experience

The Coveo Diagnostic Tool makes it easier for you to communicate with Coveo Support, and thus accelerates the troubleshooting process. The Coveo Diagnostic Tool setup wizard is now automatically launched after a Coveo Enterprise Search installation or update and is also available on productupdate.coveo.com.

The first version of the Diagnostic Tool contains the following two tabs:

  • System Status

    Generates an overview of the Coveo Enterprise Search 7 service and related processes.

  • Are You Ready for Coveo Cloud?

    Helps us determine whether the new Coveo Cloud offering supports your on-premises setup.

Make Box Enterprise Content Searchable

You can now use the Coveo connector for Box to index content from your Box Enterprise account. Your users are therefore no longer limited to personal sources and can now efficiently access their cloud-based team collaboration tool content.

Connectors Deprecation Notice

The PTC Windchill, Ektron CMS, EpiServer CMS, IBM WebSphere, IBM Notes, and Confluence Legacy connectors are now deprecated. Deprecated connectors are:

  • No longer tested;

  • Minimally maintained;

  • Planned to be removed in a future release.

Coveo .NET Front-End Fully Supports Microsoft Edge

Coveo .NET Front-End is now able to detect Windows 10 default browser, meaning that you can use Microsoft Edge and benefit from all the Coveo .NET Front-End framework features, such as opening a file share document directly from the browser.

Atlassian Jira V2 Connector Supports Jira 7.1.2

The Coveo connector can now index Jira 7.0 to 7.1.2 on-premises and Cloud 7 content. End-users can be authenticated with their Jira account to securely search Jira 7 content. [more]

Customize Desktop Integration Package Colors and Icons

You can now customize most colors and icons of the Desktop Integration Package (DIP) and easily deploy your changes on all your users' machines. Previously, your users had to create Windows registry keys to use your customizations. [more]

Support Microsoft SharePoint 2016

The second-generation Coveo connector for Microsoft SharePoint and the SharePoint integration now both support SharePoint 2016. Coveo search boxes and Coveo .NET search interfaces integrated in SharePoint, and search interfaces outside SharePoint allow your end-users to securely search for SharePoint 2016 content. [more]

.NET Search Interface Claims SSO Supports Multiple SharePoint Instances

You can now configure the claims single sign-on (SSO) of a Coveo search page for more than one SharePoint web application or farm by setting multiple identity provider URLs in the Coveo Front-End SSO Configuration page. Moreover, you can now retrieve claims from SharePoint via web requests instead of browser redirections, which improves the global performance and prevents minor issues such as blinking during the browser authentication redirection loop. Make Twitter Content Searchable With the Second-Generation Connector

You can now use the second-generation Twitter connector of Coveo to index Tweets from user accounts, lists, and collections. You can also include Tweets matching a specific query, such as Tweets mentioning your organization. Your users can now efficiently access online social networking content. [more]

Make Confluence Content Searchable With the Second-Generation Connector

The second-generation Confluence connector providing significantly improved crawling performances and supporting incremental refreshes is now available. [more]

Make Alfresco One Content Searchable

You can now use the Coveo connector for Alfresco One to index content from your Alfresco One instance. Your users can now efficiently and securely access their ECM content. [more]

Monitor Administration Tool Operations

You can now monitor and review all operations performed in the Administration Tool that were triggered by a user interaction in the new Administration Logs page. Among other things, you can use the page to identify source owners and users responsible for errors or unauthorized content permission changes. [more]

OpenText Content Server Connector Supports OTCS 10.5

The Coveo connector can now index OpenText Content Server 10.5 content. End-users can be authenticated with their account to securely search OTCS 10.5 content. [more]
